Dr. Kevin Sawyer has been proud to serve the Los Altos community for over 28 years. The Sawyers are known around town as "Doctor Kevin and Teacher Terri" and enjoy an active life and participation in the Los Altos community.
You can read about the history of the practice at "Our History With You" -- Dr. Sawyer has worked hard to keep the legacy of Dr. E.C. "Charlie" Watkins, a professor, friend, mentor, and pioneer of dentistry. Dr. Sawyer has been operating the practice since 1984, and he's proud to see multiple generations of families!
Dr. Sawyer settled in Los Altos after graduating from the University of California San Francisco with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1983, which followed from his undergraduate studies in biology at UC Santa Clara in 1978.
Dr. Sawyer loves the close-knit feel of Los Altos, and greatly enjoys treating the patients who come into the practice with the same devotion he treats members of his own family.
Dr. Sawyer and his wife, Terri, have been married over 34 years. She's served as a preschool teacher and special education aide in the Los Altos school district for many years, giving rise to "Teacher Terri and Doctor Kevin" around town. They participate actively in local community service and leadership, including the Los Altos Sunrise Rotary Club, multiple school boards, the board of the Rancho Shopping Center, the Festival of Lights Christmas Parade Board, and Dr. Sawyer is the President of the High School Men's Club

Meet The Faces Behind Our Practice
Kevin B Sawyer DDS
Dr. Kevin B. Sawyer is the practicing dentist, an active member of the community, and someone who is devoted to service to the community and people. He's in prominent leadership positions in local civic organizations and professional dentistry organizations in the area. Dr. Sawyer believes in service and treating you as well as he'd treat his own family.
Cindy
Cindy will greet you warmly at the front desk. She's been working with Dr. Sawyer for 16 years, and recognizes most people just by their voice when they call! Patients are often pleasantly surprised that when they say "Hello Cindy," she just about knows who they are! Extremely friendly, extremely accommodating, and a big part of keeping the practice running smoothly.
Patty
Patty has been with the practice six months, and she works on Thursday which is Cindy's day off. Patty has an experienced receptionist for a number of years, and always happy to help with any questions you have.
Lisa
Lisa has been Dr. Sawyer's chairside assistant for the last year and a half. She's always working by Dr. Sawyer's side, assisting patients directly and ensuring their comfort. She's very gentle, nurturing, family-oriented, and likes helping people.
Teresa
Teresa has been a hygienist at the practice nine years, and is well-known to the patients here because of her long tenure, steady work, and friendly personality. She was full-time, but now with two young boys, she now blends coming into the practice to perform hygiene two days per week as well as being a full-time mom of energetic kids!
Ann
Ann started as Dr. Sawyer's dental assistant 25 years ago! After that, she went back to school to become a hygienist, and has been a hygienist for Dr. Sawyer now for 15 years. Ann is highly involved in the community with the church, and with her sons who are active in sports at junior high and high school. Ann is proud that her eldest son recently enrolled in West Point. Ann is in the practice two days per week.
Nooshin
Nooshin has been a hygienist at the practice for over a year, and is a highly intelligent and dedicated hygienist. She's meticulous and hard-working in treating patients, and incredibly kind and warm-spirited. She performs hygiene treatment one day per week.
Andrea
Andrea has been with the practice for six years, works one day per week, and is loyal, smart, kind, hard-working, and very thorough in hygiene treatments.
